The SouthCoast Community Foundation awarded over $600K of Stabilization Grants from its SouthCoast Emergency Response Fund to 60 nonprofits from the Southeastern, Massachusetts region. The selected group of 501(c)3 organizations clearly demonstrated a financial need due to COVID-19 and cover a range of areas of need including arts and culture, education, and economic opportunity. The recipients also actively serve vulnerable populations, are dedicated to a re-envisioned organization of adaptability and innovation, and have demonstrated a commitment toward racially diverse leadership within the nonprofit.

AUGUST 2020: NINTH ROUND OF GRANTS
The SouthCoast Community Foundation awarded a total of $55,000 in August to 25 local nonprofit organizations for summer programs serving youth in the region. The awards were made from the SouthCoast Emergency Response Fund, which the foundation established in March 2020 to support nonprofit organizations on the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak. To date, the fund has raised more than $5.59 million and granted more than $4.8 million to nonprofits providing emergency support for vulnerable populations, including the homeless, immigrant families, and those facing food insecurity in our region.
