SCCF Announces Promotion and Opening – Deepening Philanthropic and Grantmaking Capabilities

NEW BEDFORD, MA – The SouthCoast Community Foundation announced today that Tricia Grime was promoted to Director of Philanthropy and will be on the management team of the Foundation. “I’m honored and excited to take on this new role. It feels like an extension of my personal values, which are rooted in community and giving back,” said Tricia.

She is a lifelong resident of New Bedford and joined the Community Foundation in 2019 as Development Manager. Previously, she was co-owner of her family’s business, a New Bedford-based sweater manufacturing company, Whalerknits, and then, Development Associate and Special Events Manager with Southcoast Health.

“I am thrilled that Tricia has accepted this role, where she will be able to use her experience in philanthropy and strong ties to the community in working directly with our donors and fund advisors,” said Board Chair Gail Fortes.

The Foundation also just announced the creation of a new senior position, Director of Programs, for which they are currently recruiting. The Director of Programs will oversee grantmaking for the organization, working closely with nonprofits in the region.
